New York-based Sohyun Ahn brings another wonderful piano program to the Islands community. Her well-attended concert last season elicited raves: “Outstanding”, “Amazing delicacy”, and “World Class”.
Ahn will play Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata,” Six Pieces for Piano by Brahms, and Valses nobles et sentimentales, short works by Ravel that blend Impressionist and Modernist musical themes. Vermont pianist Eun Hee Park joins Ahn to play the piano 4-hands Dolly Suite by French composer Fauré. This suite of six short duets includes Berceuse, Mi-a-ou, Le jardin de Dolly, and Kitty-valse.
